The crash happened at the junction of the A6071 (45) and M6 slip road, over the M6 motorway.
A motorcyclist who died after a crash in north Cumbria at the weekend has been named as Charles Birse, 62, of Carlisle.
The man, who was in his 60s and from Carlisle, was involved in a collision close with an Audi A3 close to the Cumbria/Scotland border at around 3.30pm on Saturday . Cumbria Police attended the scene and arrested two occupants of the Audi on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. One of these two people has since been released with no further action while the other has been bailed while investigations continue.The road was closed for several hours before reopening at 9.10pm.
