A 22-year-old man remains in a serious condition at a Lanarkshire hospital after being rushed there following a crash which closed a road for around nine hours.
The incident took place on the B7078 between Kirkmuirhill and Lesmahagow at around 6.35pm on Wednesday, March 8 and the road was closed for around nine hours - for a police investigation to be carried out - before re-opening at 3.30am this morning . Sergeant Gemma Blackadder, from the Motherwell Road Policing Unit, said: “I’d like to thank those members of the public who stopped and helped at the scene, and for those who have already spoken with police.
