NHS and paid care workers can bag themselves free tickets to to all shows and events at Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena. It follows the success of the Concerts for Carers launch with O2, 18 months ago, to provide a legacy of thanks and help workers' mental health and wellbeing.
Motorpoint Arena is pledging to provide workers in that sector with tickets from April, starting with Olly Murs on April 27. Employees have to sign up via www.concertsforcarers.org.uk. Once registered they can apply for which shows they would like to attend. All requests will be entered into a ballot and the lucky winners will be notified.
Martin Ingham, chief executive at Motorpoint Arena, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with Concerts for Carers. It is a simple way for our venue to say thank you to so many staff for the huge amounts of dedication, skill, hard work and caring that they put into looking after some of the most vulnerable people in our community.
Since its launch, Concerts for Carers together with O2, has seen over 100,000 NHS and paid care workers register to enter for tickets. More than 50,000 tickets worth £3.5million have been given away.
