The M6 has been closed heading towards Manchester after a crash involving two lorries outside Sandbach Services.
Traffic monitoring website Inrix reported that the motorway is shut northbound between J16 and J17.
A spokesperson for Inrix said: "All traffic being temporarily held due to accident on M6 Northbound from J16 A500 to J17 A534 Old Mill Road ." In a later update at 10.33pm, Inrix reported: "M6 Northbound closed due to accident, two lorries involved from J16 A500 to J17 A534 Old Mill Road ." Traffic camera images appear to show multiple fire engines at the scene. However, it's thought no serious injuries have been suffered. police have said all people involved "walked away from the vehicles".
