An air ambulance was called along with mountain rescue teams
Emergency services, including two land ambulances and volunteers from Coniston Mountain Rescue team , were called to Monk Coniston Moor shortly before 4.30pm on Sunday . Other resources also attended the scene, including a helimed from Langwathby and a Beep Doctor.
CMRT said despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the man 'could not be helped'. They said the man had a 'serious medical issue'.A CMRT spokesperson said: "On a warm afternoon, we were called out by North West Ambulance Service to assist a male mountain biker with a serious medical issue. Other resources called in included two land ambulances, a support vehicle, Helimed 58 from Langwathby and a Beep Doctor.
