🎥 WATCH | Ex-Celtic star Moussa Dembele hands former Rangers boss Steven Gerrard winning start over Al-Nassr in SaudiProLeague
The former Celtic favourite has made the move to join Steven Gerrard on his new adventure in the dugout at Al-Ettifaq and he helped the ex- Rangers boss get off to a flying start by defeating Al-Nassr in his opening league game. The visitors had to do without star man Cristiano Ronaldo for the game but a familiar face in Sadio Mane was involved and grabbed the opening goal after just four minutes.
Robin Quaison brought the home side level two minutes into the second half before Dembele netted six minutes later to turn the game on its head. It was a simple finish from the Lyon striker and one he's scored numerous times over the years after getting into the right position to fire home. England international and former Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson made his debut after making his big move from the English Premier League over the summer.
Another face familiar to Scottish football fans in the shape of Jack Hendry also played for the full 90 minutes. The former Celtic and Scotland international was another of Gerrrard's recent recruits from Europe alongside Dembele and Henderson. At the end of the match Gerrard, Dembele, Hendry and Co made their way to the fans to show their appreciation for the support shown throughout the opening day victory.
