David Moyes has recalled how he once turned down an approach from Nottingham Forest to take charge as manager.
But had things been different, the Reds could have been on that list. According to Moyes, Forest arranged a meeting in France to speak to him about taking over at the City Ground during his stint at Deepdale. “It sounds terrible, because it sounds like you’re going behind people’s back but I wasn’t, and in the end I was really loyal . Nottingham Forest flew me and met me in Nice to become the manager of Nottingham Forest at the time.
