The maintenance works on the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 and Light Rail Transit Line 2 began on Holy Thursday, April 6. According to the MRT3 management, stations were cleaned and mast poles of the overhead catenary system , which supplies electricity to the trains, were painted.
LRT2 personnel cleaned the stations and depot and conducted OCS and rolling stock maintenance, among other activities. Rail services in Metro Manila, including LRT1 and the Philippine National Railways, are suspended from April 6 to 9 to give way to maintenance works.
