A much-missed Drumchapel Chinese takeaway is set to reopen this weekend after more than a month of being closed.
lovers across the community by confirming it will be back serving customers on Sunday, July 16.
In June, the Blairdardie Road venue announced it was taking some time off to let staff members visit family for the first time since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020.A statement posted on Facebook on June 12 read:"We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused, and we wanted to provide some additional context regarding our closure.
"Our staff members have been unable to visit their families for the past five years due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, and unfortunately, their loved ones have fallen ill. "Therefore, it has become essential for us to take this summer break from June 13 to July 15 to support and be there for our dedicated team."A follow-up post said:"We've missed you all and can't wait to see you again soon!"
