Sad news for many
Owners Tom and Katie Mather say that despite having a "sound business plan" they could not account for the unexpected they have faced. The couple, who run and own their dream business together, have been hit hard by the pandemic, cost of living crisis, a recession, and the soaring prices and changes within in the hospitality.
But in a heartbreaking statement on social media, they say "times have never been harder" than over the past six months of "increasing costs and shrinking turnover". "We're sorry to let out brilliant little community down like this. In you we found a corner of Clitheroe that we loved and that loved us back."
