It's going to be a humid start to the week in Greater Manchester with 'muggy' conditions bringing a mixture of 23C heat and rain. .

Met Office forecaster Tom Morgan said: "The main theme over the coming days will be wet weather, in stark contrast to the rest of July.

"Temperatures could climb as high as 29C during the day in southern areas, but it’s going to feel uncomfortable and clammy." Mr Morgan said 'moist' air will push in from the south-west in the Atlantic, where sea temperatures are above average.
