A multi-coalition southern border organization has slammed President Joe Biden's new immigration-related executive order as 'shameful,' accusing the Democrat seeking reelection of trying to score political points without fixing overarching issues surrounding illegal migrant flows.On Tuesday, the president enforced authority under Immigration and Nationality Act sections 212 and 215 to suspend asylum processing for migrants at the U.S.
''Instead, this new executive order will endanger lives, exacerbate suffering and threaten disorder in our region,' Serrano said. 'What our communities need are resources and coordination to welcome people seeking protection with dignity and border policies that uphold the rights of border residents and newcomers alike.
