Dozens of defects and penalty notices were issued over the weekend, following reports of hooning and illegal burnouts in Sydney's south-west. 9News
Between 9am and 5pm on Saturday, police and Transport for NSW officers carried out vehicle checks in Camden, following reports of hooning and illegal burnouts.
Of the 23 defect notices issued, 14 cars were issued red label defects for dangerous faults and subsequently ordered off the road and towed from the scene. NSW Police Inspector Gregory Donaldson said the focus will continue to ensure road safety is everyone's priority.
