At least four people have died after a stabbing at a shopping centre in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. NSW police are about to speak to the media. Follow updates here.
“I was going home on the bus and I saw a fellow in a green and yellow T-shirt and he was going that way but then I saw him go the other way and people were yelling and screaming and so I thought, they must be something going on.
“I was in the change rooms of a jeans shop, we heard two shots. We couldn’t work out what was going on, and then the person at the store said it sounds like a shot and she took us to the back where they can lock it from the inside.“And then we heard fire alarms, there were some people stuck in the change rooms, so we open the door and got them as well and then she led us through a back door.”
