A man has opened fire on his own family and a McDonald's employee before taking his own life in another mass shooting in the United States.

A woman who works at an optometrist next door to the McDonald's said the shooter used to work at the restaurant where the employee he killed was the early morning manager. CDC worker Amy St. Pierre, 39, has been remembered as"brilliant, kind, big-hearted" as she leaves behind a husband and two children following her death.
