The builder’s statement of claim also details a dispute over the day of mourning for Queen Elizabeth’s death, saying the client was “not reasonable”.
Queen’s Wharf builder Multiplex and its Star Entertainment consortium client are headed to court to resolve claims and counter-claims worth more than one-fifth of the $3.6 billion cost of theMultiplex rejects liquidated damages claims against it for delays totalling almost $360 million and is in turn claiming as much as $420 million from the Destination Brisbane Consortium, documents filed in the Supreme Court of Queensland show.

“Neither the public holiday [n]or the RDO were or could have been reasonably anticipated by Multiplex at the relevant time of entry into the contract,” the builder says in its claim.
