She has never met the child's parents
The school run is a daily chore for most parents who usually take all steps to ensure their little ones get there safely.
Even more bizarre is that neither parents have met, meaning her neighbour is sending their child to school with a stranger. After explaining the issue on Mumsnet, fellow parents rushed to her support, calling the neighbour's actions a "safeguarding" issue. "I don't have any contact with these parents so if something were to happen I wouldn't be able to let them know, we are also going away soon and won't be able to take him to school! Am I being unreasonable to think this is really cheeky of the parents and that you shouldn't just assume another parent will take yours to school with no prior conversation at all!"
