19-day-old baby found dead in cot days after being sent home from hospital
A MUM sobbed as she relived the moment she discovered her newborn baby dead in a travel cot just four days after she had come home from the hospital.
Inquiries revealed a relative of Mr Donnell had lost a baby in similar circumstances but experts said there was no suggestion of a genetic link to the tragedies.On November 26 Lilly-May was put to bed in a travel cot in the lounge whilst her parents slept on a sofa beside her in the same room because she'd had trouble sleeping in the upstairs bedroom."I then lay back on sofa next to the cot so I could get some sleep as well.The hearing was told how Mr O'Donnell woke up at a 6.
The inquest heard Lilly-May was discharged from Royal Wigan Infirmary on the same day as her birth and "was feeding well and regularly but somehow losing weight."
