Terri Akers was sent a fine after dropping a friend off while filling up her car last month
Terri Akers, 51, said she couldn’t believe her eyes when her parking charge notice came through with CCTV stills of herself letting someone out while filling up her car last month. The Fuel Station, run by a company called Vehicle Control Services Ltd , has a strict policy banning people from dropping airport customers off.Terri has vowed to campaign against fines being issued to anyone dropping off or picking up passengers
Paul Hayes was also given a fine – but argued he was just getting petrol and did not pick up or drop off any passengers ‘But what sane person would insist that their friend stay rooted to their seat waiting for the fuel to be paid when the airport is just a short walk away?’Signs have been put up at the petrol station now but Terri said she did not see any
