A MUM who choked to death on a mixed grill at Brewers Fayre gasped 'I'm going!' as she died in front of her daughter.
Care assistant Karen, of Tredegar, Gwent, had ordered a £13.79 mixed grill consisting of a 4oz rump steak, half a gammon steak, two fried eggs, half a chicken breast, two pork sausages, chips, onion rings, half a grilled tomato and garden peas.In a statement, Rhiannon told how she tried to dislodge the food but it did not work.
"Someone came over and did the Heimlich maneuvre on her two times. This worked and some frothy brown liquid came out."She tried to put her hand to her mouth as if she was trying to grab something and she said 'I'm going, I'm going' before collapsing to the floor unresponsive.Gwent Coroner's Court heard that an ambulance arrived 25 minutes later, 8.09pm, at the Ebbw Vale restaurant but Karen was pronounced dead at the scene.
