A Christmas market shopper was left baffled by the eye watering cost of a £57 pick and mix goodie bag she picked up at a stall, the Mirror reports. The gobsmacked mother said she put half of the sweets back but was still charged £26 for the new amount of the normal sized bag.
The Kingdom of Sweets shop assistant at Manchester Christmas markets can than be heard confirming the price of the original heavier bag which would have been £27 extra. OneDa then shows viewers the current cost of her bag at £26.25 and exclaims: "Fifty seven pounds for sweets!"Yes, because of me." OneDa captioned the shocking video: "Madness! Even £27 is pushing it to be fair.
Another shocked follower said : "B***dy ridiculous, next dentist bill." Many Christmas markets have received backlash for their ridiculous prices this year.
