Sean O'Brien tried to kill five people, including his mum, in scenes described as like 'something out of a film'
The mum of a man who tried to kill five people while under the belief he was the messiah said: "My son is not a bad person."
Finally, he went into Anfield cemetery where he attacked Darren O’Leary and Victoria Lye, and smashed the windscreen of their car as they tried to escape. Statements from other victims were read to the court. Mr Johnson, who was waiting at a bus stop when he was attacked, said: "This changed my life. It took me nearly a year to go back to the bus stop where it happened and use public transport again. It took me months to build up trust in people."
“Just before this attack, bar manager Carl Baines at the Arkles Pub saw O’Brien attempting to attack a young boy outside the premises. Carl grabbed the boy and took him into the pub, locking him and the other customers inside for safety. Carl then chased O’Brien along Utting Avenue, shouting at other members of the public to get away.
