Gary Toomey 'yanked' on the handbrake of Victoria Bell's Audi as she drove on the M62, leading to a crash which killed her aged 34
A mum worked out what her daughter's boyfriend was 'really like' but he 'ruined her life' with one senseless act. Gary Toomey, 37, killed his ex-girlfriend Victoria Bell by 'yanking' on the handbrake of her Audi as she drove on the motorway after a 'feeling in his gut just exploded.' The 34-year-old died after her vehicle crashed into the central reservation of the M62, she was then struck by another car as she attempted to flee to safety on the hard shoulder.
'We would always do things together like going out shopping, enjoying days out and going on holiday. I can't do this anymore. 'Without her, my life has changed in more ways than you can imagine. I have not only lost my daughter and best friend, I've also become a prisoner in my own home. 'I thought you were alright when she first met you. It didn't take long until I knew what you were really like. Your actions have ruined my life.
