A woman has lost eight stone after her divorce by simply walking three miles a day and altering her diet regimen. Vanessa Booth, 33, found herself resorting to comfort eating after her marriage, weighing in at her heaviest of 16st 1lbs and squeezing into a size 18.
After rediscovering her confidence, Vanessa re-entered the dating world and met her current partner Gary, 35. The couple welcomed a baby boy this month happily expanding their small family. Vanessa often struggled with her shaping during her marriage when she let herself get too "comfortable". She confessed to snacking on chocolate, cake, and crisps in the evening while ordering takeaways three times a week for dinner.
Vanessa also started going for daily walks, covering three to four miles each day. She said: "It clears your mind. I could put my headphones in and powerwalk." Vanessa said: "Everything happened very quickly. It was a shock. He was very happy. It changed my life."
