Mum-of-two horrified after ‘finding maggots in Kinder Surprise egg’
The 28-year-old said: "We decided to prod them with a knife and then all of a sudden what looked like a little yellow maggot popped out and landed on the kitchen counter.
"I was horrified. I quickly grabbed my phone and started filming as we poked some more of the marks and more came out. "It is a parent's worst nightmare. Imagine if I had given that to my son. He isn't old enough to know that it would look strange. She warned B&M and Kinder about other eggs which potentially had the same problems, and was told to send the egg back so they could investigate.
After a closer inspection of the packaging she said she found the egg was more than a year out of date."It was only the batman one that was affected.It is a parent's worst nightmare. Imagine if I had given that to my son."After four of the maggots came out we stopped and wrapped it back up again. There could be more inside there."I am not after compensation but I do want people to know about this. I think it is important."B&M said the incident would be investigated.
