A mum made her ‘risky’ idea a reality and created a unique Merseyside attraction. Louise Gallagher, 34, from Waterloo , runs the Mersea Sauna and claims it is the county's first mobile, authentic wood-fired Scandinavian sauna. The sauna, with stunning views of Crosby Marine Lake, has garnered a steady stream of customers since it opened in mid-July of this year, with 50-minute sessions available. In keeping with saunas in Scandinavia, it is heated to between 80 to 100 degrees Celsius.
I find in gyms and things like that, it can be quite tough because you get bored easily. We're hoping to build like a little bit of a community around it, which is why we're not really just doing private sessions.
