Millie was taken to the Queensland Children's Hospital, where doctors performed delicate surgery to save her life."It was a very long two-hours wait, just thinking of all the what ifs, what if I did something different, what happens if it doesn't go well," Gobbert said."Trolley's should have brakes on them," she said.
Unlike prams, which are required to have a brake and wrist strap for safety, there are no requirements for trolleys with child seats. Some companies do have brakes on their trolleys with capsules but they're not available everywhere."I'm not blaming the trolley manufacturer, I'm not blaming the companies, I'm not blaming anyone, just want some change," she said.
Doctors said Millie was making a remarkable recovery and her mother was grateful her injuries weren't worse.
