The mother of a teenager killed in a Victorian crash has described the final phone call she had with him as dramatic video emerges, reportedly filmed inside the car in the moments before the incident. 7NEWS
Joshua Elmes was one of the teenagers who died in the crash and his mother Lee-Ann said the family had spent Friday together before there was an argument and the 15-year-old decided to leave the house.“I said goodnight to him and that I love you and five minutes later I heard the front door open and close,” Lee-Ann Elmes told Sunrise reporter Teegan Dolling.
Elmes said she wants her son to be remembered as “the larrikin and the fun-loving kid who was supportive of friends”. Three teens and a 31-year-old woman were killed when the car in which they were travelling hit a tree in Bochara.Monivae College principal Jonathan Rowe earlier confirmed Joshua’s death, saying the school community was “devastated” by the news.
