'I moved the sheet and it was full of blood. I was like, 'oh my good God we are going''
A horrified mum said she and her teenage daughter were left "stranded" after refusing to stay at two hotels in Blackpool where she claimed mould and "blood" were seen in the rooms.
"Then I turned around and my daughter said there's some near the bed as well mum. I turned around and it was all growing up the side of the bed. "I thought, 'I better check this room,'" she continued. "So, I pulled the cover and there were loads of hairs and bugs that I took pictures of. Julie, from Rochdale, shared photos she said were taken at the Astoria Hotel and they showed hair, ripped bedsheets, insects and a faded red stain. She then said they felt "stranded" as they looked for another hotel to take them in.
"We are doing our very best", he said. "Bear in mind we are dealing with the very cheapest level of accommodation in Blackpool. Of all the 970 or so hotels in Blackpool, there are many that don't care."" Unfortunately, the sour experience dampened Katie's desire to return to Blackpool for a break. "We were going to stay for a couple of nights but, honestly, we just wanted to get up and go."
