On Sunrise on Thursday, Joshua’s mother Isobella pleaded for the driver to hand themselves in, saying her son was undergoing surgery.“I know they ran a red light and they might have been scared, but they just left my son on the ground and I really want them to turn themselves in. They need to face the consequences because my son has to face the consequences,” she said.

“He’s having a big surgery today and from that surgery we can then see how he will go and how this will impact his life, or if he can make a great recovery. We just hope for the best.”Isobella said besides his serious injuries, Joshua has been left very “worried and stressed” but is coping well under the circumstances.Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
