Staffordshire Police has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct after the bodies were discovered on Tuesday afternoon.
Police have opened a murder investigation after two people were found dead in a house in Staffordshire. Staffordshire Police has named the two people as 22-year-old Lauren Evans, from Bridgend in South Wales, and 24-year-old Daniel Duffield, from Cannock - but formal identification is yet to take place. The force said their bodies were found at a property on Alpine Drive, Hednesford, Cannock, by paramedics at around 12.30pm on Tuesday.
