Liam Thomas appeared in court this morning charged with murdering 32-year-old Matthew Horton
A murder suspect could stand trial next year after a man with "the biggest of hearts" was stabbed to death.
Liam Thomas, of Woodend Avenue in Crosby, appeared before Liverpool Crown Court this morning, Monday, charged with his murder and possession of a bladed article in a public place. Appearing in the dock wearing a dark grey t-shirt and sporting short dark hair and light stubble, the 25-year-old spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth and was not asked to enter any pleas.But a provisional trial date was scheduled for February 26 2024, with the case estimated to last for two weeks.
"His love for music could be heard all around Crosby. He loved to walk the miles he did every day to see everyone. "He is deeply loved and will be sorely missed. He's been taken from our presence, but he will forever be treasured in our hearts and our memories.
