, Hannah Witheridge and David Miller, in Koh Tao, Thailand six years ago have now been spared the death penalty, after Miller's family fought hard against it. The bodies of Witheridge and Miller were found bludgeoned to death on a beach, with the former also having been a victim of sexual assault. Zaw Lin and Wai Phyo's sentences were reviewed to commemorate King Vajiralongkorn's birthday and as a way for the royal to demonstrate his"clemency".
