Three little boys who were murdered in their home in a loyalist attack 26 years ago, will be honoured in a memorial quilt to be unveiled on October 25.
Within hours of the attack, it emerged it had been carried out by the UVF led by Thomas Robert Garfield Gilmour who admitted driving the murder car to the Quinn home and waiting while one of his accomplices threw a whiskey bottle full of petrol through an upstairs window. They are the youngest victims to be remembered in the quilt and share the sorrowing space with best friends Philip Allen and Damien Trainor who were gunned down by the UVF on March 3 March, 1998 as they sat side by side in the Railway Bar in Poyntzpass.
SEFF has opened invitations to the public to the dedication of the latest memorial quilt called Diversity In Life, Remembered In Unity, at a service at Down Cathedral on Sunday, October 27 at 3.30pm.
