Courtney Boorne murderer Liam Cain who strangled Ormskirk hairdresser to death moved prisons after threats from inmates
A murderer who strangled his girlfriend to death as she screamed for help has been moved to a different prison after threats from inmates.
Courtney had phoned her mum Cheryl earlier that day and said 'if she didn't hear from her within an hour to call the police, because something was going on'. Around an hour later, a neighbour on Quarry Green Heights in Kirkby rang 999 reporting that she could see a woman in an apartment opposite 'screaming and climbing onto the window ledge'.
In the absence of the jury, his counsel Andrew Radcliffe KC told the court the following day: "Mr Cain was threatened yesterday on his return to Altcourse. It didn't amount to physical violence."
