Here's what's lined up
As part of the annual fun in Millennium Square, we will be welcoming some major acts to perform. Organised by Leeds City Council, the Millennium Square Summer Series will feature appearances by Nik Kershaw, Go West, Nick Heyward, Heaven 17 and T'Pau's Carol Decker at the 80s Classical.
Taking place on Friday, July 28, it will see the stars perform alongside Opera North’s 50-strong orchestra. Another major event will be the Club Classical Anthems, set for Saturday, July 29.The orchestra will return with some major hits being performed with Utah Saints, Janice Robinson, Kelli-Leigh and Karen Harding.
Leeds City Council’s executive member for economy, culture and education, councillor Jonathan Pryor said: “We are delighted to be hosting these fantastic events again on Millennium Square at the end of July. The magnificent orchestra of Opera North together with a range of star performers promises to be more must-see outdoor concert experiences for people to enjoy.
