Ruby the labradoodle is a talented pooch
The love of a pet can help keep us company, decrease stress and even improve heart health. But there are some clever pooches out there that can do much more than that – even going as far as doing the laundry.
She set about applying to Support Dogs, a charity which trains and provides registered assistance dogs to improve the lives of children and adults across the UK, to have Ruby trained to help her with day-to-day tasks. “Ruby has travelled to Ireland on the ferry and has even been trained to fly with me in the cabin of the aircraft, which entailed extra training provided by Support Dogs.”
“This morning, my back was horrendous and my left knee was really bad. If I needed to pick something up, I couldn’t bend down. My back wouldn’t allow me to bend down or kneel, so Ruby can pick it up for me.
