A mum-of-two was given a devastating diagnosis after experiencing what she thought were headaches for weeks

After further visits to two different doctors, Rebecca decided to head on her family trip to Turkey from Manchester.
“Doctors came back into the room after I had my MRI and told me they had found a brain tumour. You can imagine hearing that was horrendous,” she said. Rebecca had to learn to walk and talk again, and also underwent radiotherapy and chemotherapy at The Christie in the months following her surgery. She said she felt somewhat “cross and upset” that she had not been tested further in Manchester before her family holiday.
