Mysterious ‘burglar markings’ drawn on pavement outside homes in Plymouth sparking fears over dog snatchersMYSTERIOUS chalk circles have been drawn out on a road in Plymouth sparking fears the markings are being used by dog snatchers to scope out targets.No one in the local area knows what the circles meanIt comes after a so-called burglars' code was previously circulated on social media which appeared to show that certain markings were a secret language for robbers.
Suspicions were raised after a white transit van was clocked by eagle-eyed locals in the early hours of Monday on Colesdown Hill at the back ofA white transit van was seen by locals rocking up in the early hours of Monday on Colesdown HillBut the markings have since began appearing in other parts of the suburb with other transit van drivers seen drawing on the markings.GROWING CONCERN"An old man said he had seen a load of old Transit vans early hours of the morning doing them.
A South West Water spokesman said: "I have spoken to our team who are currently working on Billacombe Road, but they have confirmed this is not us.Back in 2016, a so-called burglars' code circulated on social media which appeared to show that certain markings were a secret language for robbers.
