At least three dead cows have been seen around the Canary Islands in the past week
Holiday goers and locals have been left shocked after a number of dead cows washed up on a coastal resort.The first departed dairy animal was spotted on the tourist beach of Playa de La Jaquita near El Médano by two shocked swimmers.The animal's carcass was towed away and taken to a landfill by council workers.A third was glimpsed floating in the middle of the sea near the island of La Gomera.It is customary to toss the animals overboard if they die on the crossing.
