Residents were scratching their heads
People have been left baffled by two unusual lights which shone above parts of Greater Manchester. A number of readers have contacted the Manchester Evening News about the lights, which were seen above parts of Stockport between 11pm and midnight last night .
They were also reportedly visible in neighbouring areas of Cheshire, including Poynton and Bollington. One eyewitness told the M.E.N.: "Saw these strange lights 11pm as did many... These things were following a pattern in the night sky. Two lights following each other." Another said: "There's a really strange light in the sky and I'm curious to know if anyone has sent this in . It feels like an illusion almost like it's following you as you move."
"I’m in Hazel Grove. I never saw the northern lights a couple of months ago, so was wondering if it was that. But if it’s not, what could it be?"
