This will mark the seventh time that Major League Baseball will send two of its teams to Historic Bowman Field for a game that coincides with the Little League World Series.
It will be the New York Yankees vs. the Detroit Tigers in the annual Major League Classic at Historic Bowman Field in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.The game will be played at the home of the Williamsport Crosscutters of the collegiate MLB Draft League. Participating players, coaches, and families of the 2024 Little League Baseball World Series, in addition to Williamsport-area residents, will fill a significant portion of the capacity crowd at Bowman Field.
Marcus Stroman is scheduled to start for the Yankees and All-Star Tarik Skubal is slated to start for the Tigers. The matchup Sunday is the sixth time these teams square off this season. The Yankees have a 4-1 advantage in the season series.Juan Soto has 24 doubles, four triples, 34 home runs and 87 RBI while hitting .302 for the Yankees. Aaron Judge is 15-for-36 with four doubles and three home runs over the last 10 games.
