Naga Munchetty playfully responded to Carol Kirkwood's lighthearted tease during a live broadcast of BBC Breakfast. Naga's upcoming book, 'It's Probably Nothing', tackles the challenges women face in healthcare.
BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty didn't hesitate to hit back at Carol Kirkwood following a playful jibe on the live broadcast. The BBC programme returned this morning with another instalment in the run-up to Christmas, hosted by Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty . Weather presenter Carol Kirkwood was also there to deliver the latest forecast.
In Thursday's episode, the conversation shifted from Elton John's music video to who might portray Carol in such a production, prompting Charlie to ask: 'Who do you think would play Carol in the video?' He then joked: 'Well she's listening so I'm not going to say. I can feel her presence,' leading Naga to quip: 'You can feel her eyes boring into the side of you. Morning Carol!' Charlie continued: 'I'm saying nothing.' Carol joined in, suggesting: 'That's probably for the best Charlie,' to which Naga remarked: 'I should probably learn that lesson from time to time I think.' Carol quickly retorted: 'Absolutely Naga, that could be your new year's resolution.' Naga playfully interjected: 'Yeah alright! Fat chance!' before the mood lightened as they checked in with Carol. This comes as Naga recently revealed an exciting new venture beyond her role on BBC Breakfast. Expressing her enthusiasm for her forthcoming book, set to release in May 2025, she shared: 'IT'S PROBABLY NOTHING is an exploration of the healthcare difficulties women face, from being heard to diagnosed and treated. In the book, I share my own experiences as well as those of many others, speaking to doctors and experts at every step of the way. Pre-order it now #ItsProbablyNothing.' Her debut book is titled 'It's Probably Nothing: Critical Conversations on the Women's Health Crisis'. In this revealing read, she delves into the systemic issues women face when seeking medical care and also courageously shares her own journey with an adenomyosis diagnosis - a condition where the inner lining of the uterus breaks through the muscle wall of the uterus
