Victor Vickery has been charged with manslaughter
Victor Vickery is charged with manslaughter for allegedly beating Asaad Akar to death after catching him outside his girlfriend’s window.
Vickery told police that he had spotted a Peeping Tom outside the window before, but the man fled before authorities arrived. In a police interview, Vickery said Akar lunged at him and began choking him. He continued to say that he kicked and punched Akar ‘a handful of times’ then held him down on the ground.Hobi told investigators that she hit Akar with a shovel after she saw him choking Vickery – but she later changed her story to say that Vickery coerced her to say that, denying that she ever touched Akar.Akar was taken to a local hospital after the incident and later died of his injuries.
