'We are experiencing sporadic disruption from the industry-wide shortage of HGV drivers and an increase in colleagues self-isolating on a precautionary basis’
Restaurant chain Nando’s has had to close dozens of restaurants and restrict orders on Deliveroo due to supply chain issues and staff isolating.
During that incident, around 700 of the company’s 870 stores in the UK had to shut as they did not have enough chicken, which they blamed on delivery firm DHL. A Co-op spokesman said: ‘We are experiencing sporadic disruption from the industry-wide shortage of HGV drivers and an increase in colleagues self-isolating on a precautionary basis.’
