NASA will plunge the Parker Solar Probe into the Sun's fiery corona today in a historic attempt to shed light on our nearest star, the US space agency has revealed.
NASA’s Parker Solar Probe, an un-manned spacecraft the size of a small family car, is already the closest man-made object ever to the Sun – now a mere 15 million miles away from its fiery surface.
