Natalie Portman, the face of Miss Dior, breaks down what being a Dior ambassador actually means at the spring/summer 2025 show at Paris Fashion Week.
Dior muse Natalie Portman has witnessed no fewer than five creative directorships since her first campaign in 2011. When the Israeli-American actor signed up to become the face of Miss Dior, a disgraced John Galliano was on the way out, while Bill Gaytten was making his way to the top spot. A lot has happened since then , but Portman has remained a constant, as much a part of the house’s legacy as roses, stars, Charlize Theron and Bar jackets.
“Dior is wearable for life everyday, but it’s also supremely elegant and luxurious.” If this sounds like typical brand ambassador speak, let’s remind ourselves of the fact that Portman’s Miss Dior campaigns have seen her dance on tables, jump into the ocean wearing couture and – Natalie’s personal favourite – pull off doughnuts in a pink convertible in the name of love.
