The transport provider will be adding more than 2,000 extra seats each week, just in time for the busy Christmas period
National Express is increasing its capacity for services between Nottingham and London. The bus operator plans to increase it services by almost 20 per cent from Wednesday, December 4, which will create more than 2,000 additional seats each week.
Tickets on the popular routes between Nottingham and London start from £6.90 for a one-way journey, but it is recommended to book early online to get the best deals. Plus, all of National Express’ modern coach services include leather reclining seats, free Wi-Fi, USB charging points and a luggage allowance of up to 20kg.
These additional services come in response to Megabus announcing it is withdrawing services from Nottingham to London and Heathrow Airport. Ed Rickard, network director at National Express, said: "We recognise the growing need for reliable, affordable and convenient public transport options. "By increasing capacity and frequency on our key intercity and airport routes, we’re making it even easier for people to get to where they need to be. We’re expecting to see strong demand and have the flexibility to add more capacity when needed, especially as people start to make travel plans for the festive season.”
He added: “As the nation’s favourite coach travel company, savvy travellers can look forward to the highest standards in safety and comfort on board. We’re excited to welcome new and existing customers and let us do the driving so that they can enjoy a relaxing journey to their destinations.”
