On Wednesday afternoon the National Hurricane Center began watching a disturbance in the east-central Atlantic. There is only a LOW chance for development, and more than likely it will dissipate in the near future.
–
This low pressure system is located about 900 miles northwest of the Cabo Verde Islands. It has been continuously producing showers and storms on the eastern side of it’s center. As we go through the next 24 hours the low will drive to the southwest at 10-15mph. This low is moving into an area with high wind shear which will tear it apart. This is NOT a threat to the United States.
