Nationals leader David Littleproud has raised his 'real concern' with legislating any type of Voice model if the referendum emerged unsuccessful, in a view at odds with his Liberal counterpart Peter Dutton.
Both the Liberals and the Nationals have been opposed to the constitutional enshrinement of an advisory body, as proposed under the Voice, through the course of the debate, however both parties support the recognition of Indigenous Australians in the country's founding document.

“A core component that underpins our free, liberal democratic society in Australia is the fundamental principle that every citizen is considered equal under the law,” Mr Littleproud said at the time. Nonetheless, several notable names within the Coalition do support the constitutional amendment and have openly voiced these views, with the latest beingMr Speakman came out in support of the Voice on Saturday, saying: “On balance, I think the potential rewards outweigh the potential risks, and I personally support a Voice in the Australian Constitution."
